Montblanc stepped into the luxury smartwatch world in 2015 by releasing its very first e-strap accessory and dived in fully by bringing in 2017 the Summit variants. The brand-new Summit Lite followed the Summit 2+ launched in 2020 with an excellent upgrade to the high-tech ante.
The Summit Lite comes with different upgrades for athletics, fitness, and general usage. The Lite justifies the case’s lightness made out of recycled aluminum and stainless steel. It finishes off in silver grey or matte black and coupled with a rubber or textile strap. With four different variants, the case measures 43mm.
The case comes with a 1.9-inch AMOLED display and multiple customizable features including water resistance. A durable crystal from Gorilla glass with scratch resistance finishes off the case in style. Summit Lite uses the same Wear OS from Google as its precursors. This software works with both Android and iOS smartphones.
The strap made is either black or grey and comes with a pin buckle made out of stainless steel coated in different colors based on the watch’s color. The straps are designed for longevity and comfort, as the company describes on its website. Summit Lite watch straps fit in with all the other Summit watches from Montblanc as well. With a push-based rotating crown, the watch comes with a two-year warranty.
The software also gives the watch access to the whole ecosystem of applications and services from Google. For active users, the company added a new string of apps with proven results. One among these is the Cardio Coach app that provides workout suggestions based on the user’s present fitness capabilities.
Another addition, the Body Energy application tracks the user’s exhaustion on both physical and mental levels using data like sleep, stress levels, activity, etc. The Sleep Tracker analyzes the duration and quality of sleep and generates improvements based on the data. The Stress application reminds the users to do breathing exercises depending on the stress levels.
The watch from Montblanc is available from the 22nd of April at $860. Montblanc used 100 percent recyclable aluminum in packaging, stating the company’s goals of sustainability. The luxury brand added Summit Lite to its timepiece collection with different customizable choices for the customers including the color of the case and straps.
Summit Lite updated with the latest software, works on Android version 6 and more, and iOS version 12 and more (excluding the Go addition). The watch is focused on a performance-based design and adds up to the stylish luxury watches from Montblanc. The Wear comes with a 3100 Qualcomm Snapdragon.
The full circle dial is paired with 390X390 resolution with an ultra-thin border. The watch from Montblanc is currently available for orders in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, and others. It can be charged through the USB H port with a 5V DC supply.
