The company was founded in California by its CEO Mihnea de Vries and Deepansh Jain, its Chief Technology Officer, in the year 2016. Mr. Mihnea is a 51-year-old Romanian entrepreneur with 25 years of on-field experience in marketing, video production, and technology. He was also the founder of EuroNet that started in 1996, the first internet providing company in Arad. This company was also one of the first of its kind in Romania. While Mr. Deepansh is an Indian entrepreneur.

Mr. Mihnea said that the company aims at developing a future-adaptive solution, as the way we live and move forms the crux of environment and life-based discussions. His statement read, “We are all more and more concerned with the way we live, and the way we move is often a key point in discussions about the environment, about city life, about life in general.”

The solution as quoted by Mr. Mihnea would also include deep-tech, automatic driving, teleoperation, and AI-based technologies, apart from hardware.

Scooterson provides safe and intelligent micro-mobilities tailored according to company and customer requirements. It envisions incorporating deep-technology features for a seamless user experience. So far, the company has attracted 360,000 euros.

The company’s founders at present are focusing on sales in the U.S. and plan to expand its operations globally by 2022. The management estimates a $5 million revenue from online retail and sales. Scooterson’s founders are hoping for a sale of $100 million by 2023. The company is in talks with a Romanian company to make Europe’s production in Romania.

Andrei Dudoiu, the CEO and co-founder of SeedBlink stated, “It is the second time after Plant An App when a startup completes its funds raised on Republic with crowd raising on SeedBlink. It is a great joy for us to be able to contribute to the success of multinational companies with Romanian DNA.”

Mr. Andrei further said that Scooterson is already a multinational firm, as its founders come from India, the USA, and Singapore. Scooterson combining hardware and software at top-notch quality is probably the only way to rule over a market over-crowded with Asian products, according to Mr. Andrei.
